Any tips for the third roll? I find it quite tight and it’s not the happiest moment to sit up there 😂 Having fun with the sequence, you are so right about talking arm breaks!

Don’t laugh! 😂 Ok, laugh 🤷🏼♀️ I’m needing a little guidance as I’m on the struggle bus. I can’t get up into position before the salto. I have listened to all or Brett’s cues. No pike in the cross back inversion and not to put pressure on the knee hook & climb high before sinking in to wraps, but I can’t quite find the space for my right leg to straighten. Thanks for any advice! 😊

Thank you for the video! They are often so helpful, and seeing the journey is so wonderful.
Both questions added for the Q&A

Next question 😂🤷🏼♀️ What do I think about for the back flip? What cue would you give me if I were in your studio ? I just feel “stuck”.
Thanks! -

I’m also stuck on the back roll at the end. I can get the foot locks to pop off but when I bring my feet back to the front or try to push into the wrap the wraps just fall off. How to you get enough leverage to get your feet around and then curl up into a ball?

Hi Cathy, would you be open to sharing a video of you? Do you mean the wraps on the ankles when you are in the arch position are sliding off when you try to go for the dolphin roll? Would love to see as others may be having this same problem. It sounds like you may be trying to pull/push down with your legs to get leverage. Unfortunately the lower body can’t be used as leverage. The key to the dolphin roll is the upper body doing all of the pulling work while the head and back stay arched through the diving motion. The knees bend as you go but the legs can’t help at all by pushing/pulling.

Well that pretty much answered my question because that’s exactly what I’ve been doing. My shoulders are a little behind my head to start and my right shoulder has been giving me problems so I’m having problems pulling up when my feet are behind me. I may just need to pull my feet back around if I can’t pull up in that position.

Glad that answered your question. You could think about bringing the hands forward to close the shoulders a bit before trying to pull up to work within a less extended position. Keeping the head arched back may help the dive back still look curvey while taking care of the shoulders.
Happy training!
