          What a charming sequence!!! 🤩
It’s perhaps indecent, but I would ask if a short lesson on Russian flirt climb is possible.

Glad you like it! Will ask Amanda to break it down for the Q&A 🙂

Hi. I thought this sequence was easy because it’s short. But when I started trying it…… whaaaaa, a splitty and leg strength challenge indeed! Thanks for the gorgeous poses. If I have a 180° split with right leg in front, but only a 160° (or less) split with left leg in front- Would you recommend that I make the footlock on my right foot instead? Or doesn’t matter? Thoughts?

Short but dense in strength and flexibility, ha!
Great question! Added to the Q&A.

Having temporarily bypassed the struggle of Russian flirt, the new issue is: now to hook the foot that is on top, before rotate the torso for the no hand split? 🤔

I would love to hear tips for fabric management when making the foot lock after Russian flirt. I can see that she holds the fabric high so than she can make a figure 8 FL. I may have a thicker fabric but I can try it on another fabric that may be a bit easier to work with for fabric management. Aside from that, I’m still using my hands to switch between the poses. It may just be practicing the switch to make it smooth.

Thanks for the reply. It wasn’t a problem with the name of the Russian Flirt, maybe for me it’s more of a strength or flexibility issue, or both, which is why I find it very difficult to perform a Big Russian. For example, I’ve realized that it’s easier for me to do it with my arms bent, or that I can get into the same position starting from a Russian, grabbing the tail and bringing it to my left thigh. I’ll keep practicing! Anyway the Q&A it’s every time a very precious moment! thank you!

Any tips for the flag dismount? I’m falling out of it as soon as the footlock is off. Alt dismount also welcome.

Solid question, think about the bottom hand pressing down and out as the footlock is coming off to create tension between the hands before the footlock fully releases. The top arm in the flag is pulling while the bottom arm is pushing. Really think about pressing the hand and spiral into flamenco grip, long and engaged shoulder, abs controlling the path of the legs down.
Also try Zoe’s one arm prep ground workout to get that flag feeling a bit more sassy.
As for alternatives……. whew! Yep, quite a doozy.
You could potentially do a variation of what is sometimes called a J flip, Zoe’s mini rig sequence from Feb did a sideways variation of one a min marker 0:44. Otherwise, you *might* be able to turn back to take both hands up, you would probably need an aerial dance lock/eggbeater style footlock instead so you could get out. You could try taking both hands to the pole by the chest, releasing the footlock, and turning back toward the top leg to straddle out. That option might require an eggbeater style footlock as well.
Keep us posted on what you find works for you, we might try a few alternatives here. Usually the mini rig option can offer a nice prompt, but it’s unclear how accessible getting that knee back on is with such a flexibility heavy pose. Please play low where you can gracefully slide to the floor 🙂
                            Happy training!
