I had hoped 2026 would have fewer back issues, but I started out the year with some more setbacks. I was finally able to get on the silks just a bit, and while I did try all the different pieces, including a walkdown of the ankle hang, I was not able to put that in the video piece that I ended up going with. I was never able to get into the crossback anytime that I tried. I’m thinking I lack the strength to get that moment of pull-up to go from where it’s crossed behind my neck and finally on to my shoulders. I had to stop trying, as it was absolutely going to make my back worse. So the work through that I tried in this video was just leading off to the side to get the one piece around my back, and as you can see it was a bit of a struggle, but again this video was my first attempt getting into the second half of the sequence a different way. Way. And of course it also meant I couldn’t do the drop unless I did it from a different sequence. But I’m glad I got on the equipment and gave it a go.
