Hi team, love the look of this flow! Just a note, I can’t seem to download the mini rig version at the moment. All the others are fine, it’s just that one 🙂

            Ooh I love this sequence!

Any safety considerations for the slack drop?

I also seem to slide a lot during the split and arabesque portion. I’m just starting, but curious if there are any tips for minimizing sliding in that part.

            So excited!

I had same first day, then realized I wasn’t keeping tail on shoulder/elbow. That helped a lot today. I’d love tips on gett the straddle split angle right- I’m struggling with tipping upright.

                Another nice sequence! thank you!
It seems impossible to me to get the initial crochet with the right leg and not to slide down before the crossback. I heard the tip from Laura, I tried to internally roate the leg but it seems quite impossible for my body to get the right amount of adduction… any other tip? thank you!

Hi all, just posting my modification for the single ankle hang in case anyone else has hip issues.

I didn’t dare try without first having confirmation. Doesn’t the direction of the crossing of the fabrics matter for the drop? Does it make any difference whether the one closest to the back is the right or the left?
and also, is it normal to slip a little if you don’t go tuck first and then pike?

Good question. Added to the list. Until Thursday, try it on the floor. You might be able to answer your own question!

thanks because you pushed me to try it on the floor and I found out that is the same! <3

The elevator drop hurts my lower back. Just me? Now like silk burn, from the arching.

Thank you for the great QnA session! And for the tips and drills. I think I am slow while going into the slack drop because I also arch my body so I will do the drills you showed to practice more hollow body position! I didnt realise i was slow due to arching.

Also thank you for confirming that the first shape is more straddle than a split because when I was trying to do it as a split I was tipping over and sliding down.

Great session and cant wait to get to the studio to try!

Thanks Laura for your invaluable advice and for sharing your story! I can push my foot against the fabric pole when I’m very low, but when I gain a bit of height, I find it incredibly difficult to wrap my leg around it and then push with the ball of my foot. Is this normal? Is it the stretchiness of the fabric? Or is it just my lack of skill? 😛

Hey Roberta! Are you talking about your foot in the crochet? Think of your crochet wrap beginning with the thighs, quickly sliding the foot up the pole and hooking. You want to firmly build your crochet all the way hip to toe otherwise the feet might not feel like they have a lot of push. Make sure the shoulders are completely under the hips and you may find a little upside down pull up really gets the hips up in the crochet motion. Happy training!

I finally figured out the issue: my video file was too large!
After resizing it, I could successfully upload it in my profile. Thank you, again, for finding an alternative solution.
