I am an intermediate/advanced hobby aerialist. My hobby began in 2011, continuing strong and consistent for about 5 years. I specialize in silks, lesser so in lyra, and I have an interest in straps. I've had 2 big and 1 small breaks during the remaining time period. The first was an intermittent break that occurred between 2016-2018 to complete a graduate degree, the second was a complete break between 2018-2019 when I made a move from the midwest (U.S) to Boston, MA, and the third was a complete break from March 2020-June 2020 for the COVID19 pandemic. The come back has been humbling - my technique went from great to eh. I have not completed paid gigs, but do flirt with the idea every now and again. I have performed in about 5 showcases. I love aerial arts! I have always been athletic. However, I was never introduced to dancing or figure skating, but always envied them. Aerial arts turned out to be a wonderful outlet for me, because I can unleash my creative side however much or little I choose. I really enjoy the artistry and technical aspect of aerial arts.
